This has been a busy start to the school year: Peter took on the piano part in 'Oliver!', which was performed at the beginning of November, and we have also had a major move - after 16 years teaching in a tiny hole, Adie is now in a bright new room in the school's new Arts and Sciences wing (see picture below):

Adie's new room at school.

The first weekend of December we were visited by Adie's sister, Niki, plus her husband, Paul and youngest daughter, Finette.  We visited the Christmas markets in Frankfurt and in Oberursel.

Also at the end of November, our friend Annie - seen here celebrating with 'the girls' - celebrated a 'big, round' birthday.  Time flies.....it'll be our turns very soon (Adie's first, as Peter never fails to remind her!).

For Rick's 8th birthday on the 8th December he had a party for 8 children, with games organised by a fantastic woman so that we only had to buy the prizes and make the food - a great idea.  Here's the cake I made - I impressed myself (it's supposed to be a bus......!)

Here are the children playing games in the dark....

Here is Rick on his birthday morning, playing the treble recorder he had asked for.

Santa visited the school in December again, and Ricky told him he would like some Enid Blyton books for Christmas.  Let's hope he's lucky...........

The storms of 18th January 2007 affected us a little - many of the trees in the woods around us came down (one of which you can see in the photo) and we were sent home from school early for everyone's safety.  Part of our shed roof was blown off, but apart from that we were lucky.
